Donabate & Portrane are comprised of two small beautiful seaside villages. We boast some of the best local attractions in Fingal and are very proud of our Blue flag beaches. There is a little something for everybody in our town, whether it’s cliff walking, a round of golf or just some nice food within a friendly atmosphere, we’re sure you will be happy. At Lynders Mobile Home Park we welcome hundreds of guest every year from all over the world and we are always happy to help out our guests with local activities so they can fully immerse themselves in the wonderful little town we have here. Scrumdiddlys Ice Cream Shop
The best ice cream parlour in the land. Home of the famous Scrummy Tub. You can fill it, top it, stick it and drip it.
There’s over 2,400 combinations, so you’ve plenty to choose from. And there’s a lot more deliciously scrummy things in store. Situated in the heart of Donabate Village Scrumdiddly’s is perfect for a summer cooling down after walking the local Portrane – Donabate cliff peninsula.

The Brook Inn
On its own loop of road on the eastern coast of Portrane, this pub was built in 1896 and is situated on the edge of the beach.
Frequented by the locals and inviting for any tourists visiting the area, this pub is full of history and character.
Just to the right is an access path to the coast of The Burrow peninsula. So be sure to pop in and quench your thirst while exploring this coastal area.
Pasta Castellos Italian Restaurant
Pasta Castello specialise in Italian Cuisine. They have great food on offer from succulent char grilled steaks and chicken, fresh pan-fried fish and vegetarian dishes. All parties are catered for.
This quaint italian offering sits in the centre of Donabate village and surrounded by shops and local pubs.
Pipers Takeaway & Diner
A dine in restaurant and take away situated on the shoreline of Portrane beach; established in 1982. This traditional chipper is a hidden gem renowned for their specialty in fish and chips with friendly and welcoming staff.
If you’re looking for something really tasty we highly recommend the fish burger with everything on it …Yummmm!

Chungs Chinese Restaurant
Chungs’ dishes are prepared by sourcing the very best of local meats & seafood allowing them to offer an extensive choice of well known Chinese dishes as well as some of their own special combinations and favourites
They can cater for large parties, the restaurant is an ideal location for birthdays and other events with Karaoke available for those who see themselves the new Ed Sheeran or Adele.

Mrs Jones Farm Kitchen Cafe
Mrs Jones Farm Kitchen opened its doors in 2013, the most recent addition to Jones Garden Centre follows in the same vein as the humble beginnings of Jones Fruit Farm showcasing the best of local ingredients. They serve the finest home cooked meals, deserts and hot drinks.
Their menu contains a number of local favourite options as well as daily ever changing dinner options.
Newbridge House & Farm
Newbridge House is among the winners of the 2017 Experts’ Choice Award from TripExpert. The Award reflects the views of journalists and professional travel writers and is bestowed on only the best attractions around the world.
They have over 100,000 visitors every year and the Farm is very popular with families. They are one of the few working farms where children can see pigs alongside many other animals, reared in an environment where they can move about freely and express normal patterns of behavior.

Local Beaches
The Donabate & Portrane peninsula is renowned for its beautiful beaches and breathtaking coastal walks with beautiful views of Lambay Island, Howth Peninsula and Malahide Estuary. Donabate Beach is a great spot for walking and canoeing. It is a long sandy beach, 3.4 km in length, consisting of a large sandy dune area which has public toilets, a lifeguard station and large public car park.
Portrane Beach is a 2 km long sandy beach flanked by sand dunes. There is pedestrian access only to this beach, no vehicular traffic is allowed. Parking is provided. At the north end of the beach Rogerstown Estuary flows out and at the south end it is protected by a headland consisting of Tower Bay. There is a National Heritage Area (NHA) to the north of this beach, a site of local importance; it is home to a large colony of migrating birds during the winter months.
Tower Bay Beach is a 2 minute walk from Lynders Mobile Home Park is located south of Portrane village on the Donabate peninsula. To the north you can see Rockabill Lighthouse, to the south-east you can see Howth and the Dublin Mountains. It is host to a beautiful coastal walk that connects the whole peninusla and all three beaches. The route for the coastal walk from Donabate to Portrane is displayed on boards at the Tower Bay Car Park.
